Zoetropes
These Zoetropes were created digitally to emulate the works of Drew Tetz and Le Maille. Used as promotional material and as the backgrounds on the Spotify player

CANDLE’S LAB
This project accompanied my most successful track on Spotify, which has accumulated over 16,000 plays. The animation resonated with listeners enough that they requested copies to use as mobile wallpapers.
Technically, this utilised an Image-to-Video (I2V) workflow generated from a single source image. My initial goal was to create a seamless loop by using the same image for both the first and last frames. However, I discovered that the video models of the time interpreted matching endpoints as a signal to remain static.
To solve this, I pivoted to a design featuring a subtle fade in and out, removing the defined last frame.
ROMAN ANGLES
The wallpaper for the final design was generated on Leonardo.ai using the Flux model. Prompting for an old wooden record player in roman ruins
The animations for the disc started off as static image, generated locally on ComfyUI and FLUX, using a hand puppet Lora. I thought the outputted imaged were fun and interesting so they formed the basis of this project.
(I generated thousands)
SAM (Segment Anything Model) was used to remove the background by prompting for the word “Puppet”
The resulting animations were then layered into Affect Effects using 38, 40 or 42 Frames which is what gives the puppets the out of sync effect in the final design
FLATMOON
To create the primary animation for this zoetrope. I started with a nice ugly flower that I drew in paint.
I then looped it through a ComfyUI workflow using an Image to Image workflow to enhance it into a much nicer image using Flux.
Its hard to see in the final design but there are 90 unique flowers used on the final animation.
The flowers were placed and animated using a script written for after effects (I did not want to place an animate them all manually, that’s just not the automation way!)
The scripted animation basically follows a simple sin function and affects the zoom/ size of the flower giving the illusion of a “wave” but its really just the flowers coming and going.

Best Slide Story
On the right/ above, this was another attempt at using a single image as the first and last frame with an I2V workflow.
This time I was able to get some movement and create a looping image. The final animation used is actually 3 outputs that have been overlayed on each other to make it seem a little more exciting. There’s also a little mirror trickery used to spice it up a little more.
